On October 3, 2007, I lost my first immediate family member do to Cancer. Before that day, to me death was very distant. When my oldest sister Sharone passed away, it mortalized my own existence. It was her who inspired me to purse the development of this site to add value to who I am. Inspiring me to combine my professional experiences with my personal passions. Sixteen days after VolksRide.com went live (September 17, 2007), the person I admired the most (because of her personal happiness that existed outside of worldly circumstances) left this planet with her youngest brother a change person.
I am opening up the option to accept donations on VolksRide.com because it takes money to operate such site while providing free services. More importantly, I can not forget my newly learned lesson of the mortaility of our human existence. With that being said, any donations made to VolksRide.com, 50% will be handed over to the American Cancer Socitey to help further their funding towards companies searching for the cure of Cancer.
Donations are accepted at anytime, by any supporter, for any reason. If you happen to use the MarketPlace to sell an item, 1% to 3% of your sales price would be respectable. This is only a recommondation. Donation amounts should really comes from your heart of giving and what is resonable within your circumstance.
