| Way cute 1971 Volkswagon Super Beetle Convertible. It's a great project car, but I haven't found time or to take it on myself. Car has been in the family since '87. Initially, it was my sister's car, then my brother got it. He started to restore it...stripped interior to prep for painting, but unable to finish. Reinstalled interior parts. Dash pad was not reinstalled (i think cracked/sun damaged). I've had it ~13 years. New carpet had been installed, and I had new top/liner installed. It has been driven very little the last 15 years, has only ~51K miles. Carpet and top are still in good to very good condition. Newer tires and brakes, very low miles on them. New battery. Front seats are in pretty good condition. Rear seat/back ok. Rear driver side window frame needs fix. It runs good, but is currently in need of a tune-up. It also needs paint and new rubber. There are a few minor dings/scratches in body. Some rust, mostly rear pan area, but appears to be surficial. I'd say fair condition overall. Car is not in bad shape, just want you to have realistic impression before you take time to come see it. As one person put it perfectly: the bones are in good shape, but needs some TLC. It's a great project car for someone that knows what they are doing. 4 speed. Clear title, current registration. Needs some work, but super fun car. 3000 firm on price, as car has sentimental value, so will probably hang onto it a bit longer rather than let it go for less. I've discussed price with quite a few people, and concensus is this is fair/reasonable price, have also received several emails saying it's priced too low. This is a project car.
